  Do i still believe in GOD?

  hi, everyonei not new new... i have been here before under a different user, i just forgot my log-in info after a long time...so i created a new one.i from time to time post something.

  usually i just like reading post, cuz you guys are great.i consider myself a atheist.

  i came to this conclusion a few years ago, but i think i have always been skeptical about god's existence.i dont ever remember having experiencing the holy spirit, or anything supernatural good or evil, so i cannot relate to people who have.i always thought i was good person (never steal, fornicated or hurt anyone), yet never felt blessed by god.

  I think for a lot of people "God" is a real person to them. A real friend. Shaking that delusion can be more than a bit difficult.

  And here I thought they were fleeing because half the country is ruled by a murdering psychopath who gas' his own people and the other half of the country is run by jihadist who will chop your head off and gun down whole villages if you don't accept their exact interpretation of Islam.

  What's with all the pyramids??

  the number of pyramids in the world just keep going up and up.

  an egyptoligist thinks using satellite scanning technology he has found the remnants of another 17 pyramids in the egypt.

  in central and south american they keep finding more pyramids and in java a couple of years ago they surmised that the riuns their was actually a step pyramid possible the oldest in the world.

  1) Why were they built? They aren't a house or office building. They are very large for what and for who?

  The pyramids were built for many reasons. As tombs, symbols of power, sites of religious worship, and as cosmic engines (clocks). The only mystery here is how do you not know this? The answers to these questions can be found in a sixth grade history book.

  2) The precision of the stone blocks is unfathomable at that age of our understanding of human development. World class construction companies have said they would not even attempt to create such a building today. Some sites with 1000 ton blocks. And for what/who? How did they achieve such precision with out our modern day machines???

  This is not true at all. It's well understood how the stones were quarried and cut into the shapes and sizes they needed. We've even found the tools they used to do this. Here's a short video on some of the techniques they used:

  Also, the idea that we couldn't build the great pyramids today is absurd. The Great Pyramid is about 3,000,000 cubic yards. By comparison, the Panama Canal was built in 1903 and they moved over a 1,000,000 cubic yards . . . per day! And the precision needed for the water locks they built is far - far greater than anything in the pyramids.

  3) Why did cultures all over the world independently develop such similarities with now way to communication with each other at all? No, it was not a planet wide pyramid competitions - you'd think so, but no.

  What similarities? The pyramid shape? Are you surprised that separate civilizations also discovered spheres and cubes independently too?

  A pyramid is the easiest three dimensional shape you can build. And it was the only shape that they could build with the materials they had to those kinds of heights.

  It is a fact that they cannot be duplicated using modern methods

  Are you saying that we can't build pyramids today? What are you talking about?

  Mercury, the element, has been found in large quantities in some of them.

  Can you cite a credible source please?

  Then look at some of the hieroglyphs that depict "energy beams".

  Once again, can you cite a source? And how have you determined what is depicted is an energy beam? Doesn't that seem like the least likely explanation?

  one was telling us about her side job selling sex toys(also a l&d nurse).

  it's no secret that the wtbts has a cash flow problem.

  over the past three years they have closed 20 of their 116 branches.

  they have sold off most of their properties in and around ny (including some kingdom halls), drastically reduced the # of printed pages for the watchtower and awake magazines, reduced the printing of books and other materials, increased the number of single page tract campagnes, installed cc machines at their assembly halls, and are now seizing of controll of property assets from local kingdom halls using renovation projects.
